Practical 3D Printing for Healthcare Manufacturing:
Tools, Fixtures, and Everyday Applications

Duration 1 hour
Webinar Package.

Teams in medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing deal with constant shifts, including new design updates, changing priorities, and strict documentation requirements. In this webinar, Jeff Hopkins, Senior Validation Engineer at Lannett Pharmaceutical, explains how his team uses 3D printing in their everyday work, producing tools, fixtures, and lab components on demand — instead of relying on long outsourcing cycles.

He will walk through practical examples from assembly aids to testing fixtures, and share lessons learned and validation insights that apply to any regulated manufacturing environment.

Attend this webinar and learn:

  • How engineering teams create reliable jigs, fixtures, and tooling using 3D printing
  • Real examples of printed parts used on production, testing, and assembly lines
  • How to reduce lead times and external machining costs
  • What to consider when validating 3D-printed tools in a medical regulated environment
  • How to start or scale an in-house 3D printing workflow that supports daily operations

Watch the on-demand webinar to see how 3D printing is being used today to support regulated healthcare manufacturing workflows.

Jeff Hopkins started in the pharmaceutical arena in 1978. Spent 23 of the last 47 years in the Engineering Department working with both facility, production equipment and started CAD drawing in 1983. Moved into the QA side for a few years and ended up in the Technical Services Department to present qualifying both production and facility equipment along with designing parts and fixtures, which were being made at a machine shop until 2012 when we purchased the first 3D printer.
